Abba Man ben Moses ha-Yarhi (Don Astruc of Lunel)
(fl. 13th-14th cent)
   French scholar. He and Asher ben Jehiel persuaded Solomon ben Adret to issue a ban in 1305 prohibiting students under 30 from studying philosophy. Jacob ibn Tibbon issued a counter-ban. This controversy is discussed in Abba Mari's The Offering of Zeal.
